A while back, a bunch of guys sitting around a table (yes, we did call it a “BOGSAT”) decided to revolutionize home entertainment and home office cabling by designing a conduit system to hide communications cable behind the wall. The product designers wanted to make the conduits easily findable once walls were up and thus always accessible. The product needed to be easy to install with ordinary tools, capacious enough for multiple simultaneous cable runs and minimize signal interference from line voltage. The product needed to meet the needs of licensed home builders, renovation contractors and electricians but be easy enough to install so that knowledgeable homeowners with modest skills could do it themselves. The inventors were DIY home repair guys who were dissatisfied with flush-mounted raceway, dangling cables behind their TVs, rounded, inaccessible conduits and fishing wires through walls. The product became the patented eXapath cable conduit system and the results are out of sight!
